Ram Charan is currently fully focused on “Peddi,” a project he strongly believes will become a major box-office hit. Confident in the film’s storyline and director Buchi Babu’s vision, he has extended his dates to accommodate the shoot.
Originally, Charan planned to complete “Peddi” by October and begin director Sukumar’s film in December. He had also decided not to spend more than a year on any project. However, with Peddi now expected to wrap only in January 2026, he will have spent over 14 months on the film.
At one point, Ram Charan believed that the shooting of “Peddi” could even be completed by September 2026. In case Sukumar wasn’t ready with his script by then, he had planned to start another film with Bollywood director Nikhil Bhat of “Kill” fame. However, all those plans have now completely changed.
In his pursuit of perfection, Ram Charan has given Buchi Babu complete creative freedom, which has contributed to the extended schedule.
As a result, his plan to start Sukumar’s film this year will not materialize. The regular shoot is now expected to begin only in May 2026.
