Venkatesh has appeared in a web series for the first time. Similar to him, his nephew Rana made his digital debut. They have also acted together for the first time. They both appear in the upcoming Netflix series “Rana Naidu.”
The web series is an adaptation of the popular American series Ray Donovan, and it will premiere on March 10, 2023. Made specifically for the Indian market, it is produced by Sunder Aaron and Locomotive Global. Karan Anshuman and Suparn S. Varma are the directors of this series.
Rana plays the ultimate celebrity fixer who is confronted with his most difficult problem yet: his father, Naga, played by Venkatesh. The trailer is now available in Hindi and Telugu.
Amazingly capturing Naga’s ferocity and intensity, Venkatesh Daggubati gives a stellar performance. Rana is a perfect fit for the role. Members of the cast include Surveen Chawla, Sushant Singh, Abhishek Banerjee, Gaurav Chopra, Priya Banerjee, and Ashish Vidyarthi.
The trailer premiered at a fancy party held at Mumbai’s Taj Lands End hotel.
Netflix India’s VP of Content, Monika Shergill, joined the cast and crew for the event.
“There are a lot of things that make it unique. It’s my first time working with both Netflix and my uncle Venky. And I know people will go crazy for it when they see it!” In addition, Venkatesh Daggubati said, “I’ve never done anything like playing Naga before. The character has depth, charisma, and wit.”
