Ranbir Kapoor plays Lord Rama and Sai Pallavi portrays Goddess Sita in Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari. The first part of the epic is slated for a Diwali 2026 release.
Meanwhile, the makers have postponed the trailer launch. It was originally scheduled to be unveiled today but was put off at the last minute. The trailer was screened for select media professionals in Delhi last week.
The production house has now announced that a new date for the global trailer launch will be revealed soon.
The makers have also partnered with Sony Pictures Entertainment for the film’s worldwide release.
Produced by Namit Malhotra, Ramayana brings Valmiki’s epic to the screen using cutting-edge technology. Yash plays Ravana, while Rakul Preet Singh portrays Soorpanakha and Kajal Aggarwal essays the role of Mandodari. The music is composed by A.R. Rahman and Hans Zimmer.
