Rangasthalam: Recreating a Godavari village on a set

It’s known that ‘Rangasthalam’ has been shot in a very high-priced set. The set, located near Ramoji Film City and the Mount Opera resort, mirrors the typical Godavari village. Everything from sand fans to greenery has been ensured.

Sukumar and team are canning a major portion of the movie on this set. This is one of the costliest sets ever constructed in Telugu cinema’s history. The first two schedules were shot in a real village in a Godavari districts, but since the conditions there didn’t suit Ram Charan and Samantha, the set was erected in Hyderabad.

Charan is juggling this period drama and his home production (‘Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy’), apportioning his time as per the commitments.
