The Indian Cybercrime Coordination Centre, part of the Ministry of Home Affairs, has appointed actress Rashmika Mandanna as the ‘National Ambassador for Promoting Cyber Safety.’
Rashmika will spearhead national awareness initiatives to educate the public about critical cyber risks, including online fraud, deepfake videos, cyberbullying, and AI-generated dangerous content.
Rashmika Mandanna recently experienced a deepfake video incident. Since that time, she has advocated for enhanced cybersecurity measures.
Rashmika Mandanna stated, “As a former victim, I am dedicated to promoting awareness and disseminating the message of cyber safety to foster significant change. It is imperative that we collaborate to combat these dangers and safeguard our digital environments.”
