Red to be the first major film to release in theatres!

The government of India has permitted the re-opening of cinema halls from October 15. Ram Gopal Varma took to Twitter to announce the release of ‘Corona Virus’. He said his thriller titled ‘Corona Virus’ will be the first film to hit the screens when theaters get reopened.

But the first major film that will come to the cinema halls will be Ram starrer ‘Red’. The film had turned down the OTT offers intending to release it in theaters only. The mass entertainer was scheduled to release on April 9 this year. But now, it is waiting to assess the situation after theaters get re-opened.

‘Red’ may release for the Deepavali festival. The film starring Nivetha Pethuraj and Malavika Sharma is directed by Kishore Tirumala and produced by Sravanthi Ravikishore. A remake of Tamil hit ‘Tadam’, the action thriller has Ram playing dual roles.

Ram has not signed any new film after wrapping up the shoot of ‘Red’.
