Telangana state BJP president Bandi Sanjay threatened to set the reels of Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’ on fire if the movie hits the theaters with the visuals of Komaram Bheem wearing Muslim attire. Ever since the teaser of NTR came out, tribal leaders and BJP leaders have raised objections to the portrayal of Komaram Bheem’s character in a skull cap.
The teaser ends with Komaram Bheem walking in a Muslim attire wearing a skull cap. NTR is essaying the role of Bheem in this fictional tale. Rajamouli is making a story about the friendship between freedom warriors Komaram Bheem and Alluri Sita Ramaraju (played by Ram Charan).
Demanding removal of the visuals from the teaser and also from the movie, Bandi Sanjay warned director Rajamouli not to misportray Komaram Bheem’s character.
‘RRR’ has NTR, Ram Charan, Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, and Olivia Morris in the lead roles. Produced by DVV Danayya, the period drama is under progress in Hyderabad.
