Sampath Nandi has been deeply involved in Odela 2, the sequel to Odela Railway Station, which starred Hebah Patel. This time, Tamannaah Bhatia takes on the lead role.
Although Nandi is not directing the film, he is playing a crucial role behind the scenes—writing the screenplay, co-producing, and overseeing the direction. The film is helmed by director Ashok Teja and produced by D. Madhu, with a scheduled release date of April 17.
Reflecting on the project, Sampath Nandi shared that he hails from Odela, a village in Telangana known for the revered Odela Mallikarjuna Swamy temple. “Not many know that I was born and raised in this village. There is an added responsibility when making a film set in your native place. I have poured all my efforts and sincerity into this project,” he said.
Despite not being the director, Nandi has wholeheartedly taken ownership of Odela 2. Tamannaah Bhatia joined the film, largely due to her longstanding professional relationship with him, having formerly worked together on Racha, Bengal Tiger, and Seetimaar.
