The surge in Covid10 cases in recent weeks in India has been creating mayhem in India. Fatalities are increasing, positive cases have hit the record button. The situation is almost like a health emergency. The severity of the current pandemic crisis may continue until July or August.
So, all the notable films that have been stopped to hit the screens will plan releases from July end. Films like ‘Acharya’, and other biggies are planning to have a release in August provided the situation becomes normal. Subsequently, Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’ should think about postponing it to Sankranthi 2022 for all practical reasons.
As of now, Rajamouli and his team are still thinking of releasing it for October 13. Although the film’s shoot has been halted due to COVID-19 cases, the post-production work is progressing at a rapid pace.
If the film gets postponed to Sankranthi, the film’s lead heroes NTR and Ram Charan will face many problems like rescheduling their new movies. This is the reason why Rajamouli is not in favor of postponement. However, it all depends on how the pandemic situation turns in the coming months.
‘RRR’ is directed by Rajamouli and produced by DVV Danayya.
