As things stand today, three biggies are all set to compete for Sankranthi 2022 festival. Mahesh Babu’s ‘Sarkaru Vaari Paata’ was the first film to announce its release date as Sankranthi 2022. The next update came from the makers of Pawan Kalyan – Rana’s movie.
The makers of Prabhas’s ‘Radhe Shyam’ today announced that their film would hit the screens worldwide on January 14, 2022, in all languages. Unlike the other two, Prabhas’s movie is a true pan-Indian project.
‘Radhe Shyam’ is a period romantic tale directed by Radha Krishna Kumar. Saagar Chandra is directing Pawan Kalyan – Rana movie. ‘Sarkaaru Vaari Paata’ is in progress in the direction of Parasuram. Except for ‘Radhe Shyam’, the other two are yet to complete their shooting parts.
It remains to be seen whether the industry bigwigs allow a three-way fight. Or would they see that one film changes its release date?
If these three films compete for festival season, distributors will lose their money. So, there will be some last-minute amendments in the release order.
