Senior actress Khushbu today joined Bharatiya Janata Party after quitting the Congress party. She joined the BJP in the presence of senior leaders in Delhi.

In her resignation letter to Sonia Gandhi, Khushbu said people who have no connection with ground realities are taking charge of the party.
Khushbu, who is a Muslim by birth, married Tamil director Sundar C. She has been a staunch critic of BJP’s communal politics. However, ahead of Tamilnadu assembly polls, she joined the BJP for better prospects.
Khushbu is currently acting in Rajinikanth’s film being produced by Siva.
