In honor of the legendary singer SP Balasubrahmanyam, the Andhra Pradesh government has named the government’s music and dance school in Nellore as SP Balasubrahmanyam Government Music and Dance School’.
The family of SPB welcomed the decision. His son SP Charan thanked Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy saying that they are grateful to the government for this honor.
The great singer passed away recently due to a lung ailment. He hailed from Nellore and went to conquer the Indian film music world. Credited to have sung more than 40,000 songs in various languages, SP Balasubrahmanyam is an inspiration to singers.
