Legendary singer SP Balasubrahmanyam’s funeral took place today (September 26) with Tamilnadu state honours at his farmhouse in Tamaraipakkam in Tiruvallur district, near Chennai.

Tamilnadu police gave a 72-gun salute as a honor.
SPB, who had tested positive for coronavirus earlier, passed away at the age of 74 on Friday. He died of cardio-respiratory arrest.
His son SP Charan did the last rites as per Hindu rituals. However, as per their family tradition, SPB’s body was buried, not cremated.
Farewell, SPB. You will live in our hearts and the songs he had sung, forever.
