Srinidhi Shetty reveals she was not selected for this biggie

Srinidhi Shetty rose to fame with the KGF films, where she played the love interest of the protagonist Rocky Bhai, portrayed by Yash. She is now making her Telugu debut with “HIT 3,” opposite Nani, which is set to release on May 1st.

During the promotional interviews for “HIT 3,” Srinidhi Shetty shared that she had hoped to land a major Bollywood project but was ultimately not selected. She revealed that she had auditioned for the role of Sita in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, starring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama and Sai Pallavi.

Srinidhi said she had done a screen test for the role and that the makers were reportedly satisfied with her performance. However, they ultimately did not cast her because Yash, her co-star from KGF, is playing Raavana in the film. The filmmakers reportedly felt that casting her as Sita opposite Ranbir Kapoor would not work, given her previous on-screen pairing with Yash.

Instead, Srinidhi graciously praised Sai Pallavi, saying she is a perfect fit for the iconic role.

Srinidhi Shetty will also appear in another Telugu film later this year, playing one of the female leads in Siddhu Jonnalagadda’s “Telusu Kada.”
