Varun Tej has successfully undergone knee surgery after sustaining an injury while practicing volleyball for his upcoming film Bhari in Hyderabad.
As reported earlier, the actor suffered a severe knee fracture during a training session for the film, which is set against the backdrop of volleyball tournaments.
On Wednesday evening, his sister Niharika Konidela, who is also producing “Bhari,” issued an official statement confirming the update.
“We would like to inform everyone that my brother, Varun Tej, recently sustained a severe knee fracture while practicing volleyball for our upcoming film ‘Bhari’. He has successfully undergone surgery, and the procedure went well. He is currently recovering under medical supervision. We are hopeful that he will regain full strength soon, and we truly appreciate all the love, concern, and support,” she stated.
Doctors have advised Varun Tej to take complete bed rest for two weeks as part of his recovery.
