“Jailer,” directed by Nelson Dileep, is one of Superstar Rajinikanth’s most successful films of late. The action thriller became the second-highest grossing film of all time, earning more than Rs 600 crore worldwide.Rajinikanth is now planning a sequel to it.
According to rumors, Rajinikanth liked Nelson Dileep’s story idea for “Jailer 2” and asked him to write the script. Nelson is currently preparing the script.
Rajinikanth is busier as an actor at 73 than he was in the past. He is currently shooting a film under the direction of TG Gnanavel. He will also have to work on a film directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj later this year.
Rajinikanth may begin work on “Jailer 2” in 2025. There were rumors that he would retire from acting following Lokesh Kanagaraj’s film, but it appears that he does not want to do so anytime soon.
