Veteran producer Daggubati Suresh Babu has been elected as the new president of the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce. In the elections held today, the Progressive panel and the Mana panel were in direct contest, with Suresh Babu emerging victorious along with the elected members of the Progressive panel.
Out of the 48 members who contested for the executive committee, the Progressive panel secured 31 seats, while the Mana panel won 17 seats.
Ashok Kumar has been elected as the new secretary, producer Naga Vamsi will serve as vice president, and Mutyala Ramadas has been chosen as the treasurer. The newly elected committee will hold office for a two-year term.
Suresh Babu is a veteran producer, the father of actor Rana Daggubati, and the brother of actor Venkatesh. He owns and runs Ramanaidu Studios. Though he has not been actively producing films in recent years, his studio and production facilities continue to play a crucial role in the Telugu film industry.
