Several popular stars are currently dealing with a new challenge as OTT platforms are showing less interest in acquiring films or are offering lower prices. Even big names like Nandamuri Balakrishna and Megastar Chiranjeevi are reportedly facing similar issues with their ongoing projects.
Surprisingly, actor Nikhil Siddhartha has also been caught in this situation. He has been working on two films for nearly two years, and one of them, Swayambhu, is still struggling to secure an OTT deal.
After the pan-India success of “Karthikeya 2,” Nikhil launched “Swayambhu” and “The India House” as ambitious projects targeting the national market. While “Swayambhu” has almost completed production, OTT companies are reportedly not offering the price the makers expected, leading to delays in its release.
The poor performance of Nikhil’s recent films “Spy” and “Appudo Ippudo Eppudo” is also said to be a factor complicating the situation further.
