After Sekhar Kammula’s ‘Love Story’ and Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Thalaivi’, Nani starrer ‘Tuck Jagadish’ might get postponed if the surge in COVID-19 cases in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh continues. Amidst the talk that the state governments might impose some restrictions on movie screenings from next week, the makers of ‘Tuck Jagadish’ are waiting to take a call after Monday.

Shiva Nirvana directed ‘Tuck Jagadish’ starring Nani in the titular character is scheduled to release on April 23. However, the situation is alarming. While Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Vakeel Saab’ took strong openings, the film also needs to get ready for restrictions after Monday.

Currently, Telugu films are solely dependent on the markets of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and the USA. No collection is coming from the rest of India as several states are witnessing lockdowns and shutdowns of the theaters.

For a Nani movie, the market of Telugu states and the USA are enough. But the uncertainty is the reason the makers are thinking to postpone it to May.

We need to wait for official confirmation.

Tuck Jagadish’ is a family entertainer starring Nani, Ritu Varma, Aishwarya Rajesh, and Jagapathi Babu in the main roles. Shiva Nirvana is the director.
