Pawan Kalyan’s “Ustaad Bhagat Singh” is all set for its digital premiere, with Netflix officially announcing the streaming date.
The film, which released in theaters during the Ugadi festival last month, couldn’t meet box office expectations. Now, it is gearing up for a second innings on OTT. Netflix has acquired the rights for all five Indian languages and will begin streaming the film from April 16.
The platform confirmed the release with a social media post, stating that the film will be available in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
Directed by Harish Shankar, the film features Pawan Kalyan in the role of a cop. Sreeleela plays his love interest, while Raashi Khanna appears in another key role. Veteran actor R. Parthiban portrays the antagonist Nagappa.
The story revolves around a police officer who takes on a powerful nexus involving politicians and terrorists, eventually influencing the political landscape.
Music for the film is composed by Devi Sri Prasad. Despite its high expectations before release, the film underperformed in theaters. It now remains to be seen how it fares among OTT audiences.
