Nandamuri Balakrishna is set to revisit one of his most iconic on-screen avatars, that of a police officer, in an upcoming film.
The senior star has reportedly given his nod to a new project directed by Vijay Kanakamedala, who earlier impressed audiences with Naandhi. The filmmaker recently narrated an action story with a strong social message, which instantly clicked with Balakrishna.
In this yet-to-be-titled film, Balakrishna will be seen as a powerful cop, a role that has delivered several major hits in his career.
The project is a significant opportunity for Vijay Kanakamedala, who is said to be working on a tight and impactful script to match the star’s mass image.
Produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri under SLV Cinemas, the film is expected to go on floors in the next two months. Meanwhile, Balakrishna is also busy with another film directed by Gopichand Malineni, making it a packed schedule ahead for the veteran actor.
