Vetrimaaran is one of India’s best filmmakers. His Tamil films, such as “Aadukalam” and “Asuran,” received critical acclaim and national awards. His films are commercially successful and he is known for making gritty dramas with a realistic touch.
The director’s most recent Tamil film, titled ‘Vidudalai,’ has been dubbed into Telugu and will be released this weekend. During the promotional press conference, Vetrimaaran revealed that he told Allu Arjun and Mahesh Babu stories a long time ago, but those films never came to fruition.
Last year, Telugucinema.com reported that Vetrimaaran had met NTR and was discussing a project with him. Vetrimaaran confirmed the same today, saying he and NTR met and discussed collaboration. “Discussions are ongoing. But it will take some time for everything to fall into place,” he said.
Vetrimaaran stated that he told Allu Arjun the story of “Vada Chennai.” He also met Mahesh Babu and shared a story with him.
NTR, on the other hand, is currently working on a film directed by Koratala Siva. He has also signed on to work on the Bollywood film “War 2” and Prashanth Neel’s new Telugu film.
