While the majority of the Bollywood and cinema personalities have remained silent about this case fearing the ruling party at the center, filmmakers like Ram Gopal Varma and Anurag Kashyap have been very critical of the media’s handling of this case. Telugu actress Lakshmi Manchu too lent her support to Rhea saying that she needs her voice to be heard.

Now, Bollywood actress Vidya Balan echoed the same.

“God bless Lakhmi Manchu for saying this out loud. It is so unfortunate that the tragic and untimely death of a beloved young star Sushant Singh Rajput has become a media circus,” Vidya Balan supported Lakshmi Manchu’s views. She further continued, “In the same breath, as a woman, my heart breaks at the vilification of Rhea Chakraborty. Isn’t it supposed to be ‘Innocent until proven guilty’, or is it now ‘Guilty until proven innocent’!?”

Vidya Balan also asked everyone to follow the law and let the agencies do their job. “Let’s show some respect for the constitutional rights of a citizen and let the law take its own course,” Vidya Balan concludes her post.
