Directed by Puri Jagannadh, ‘Liger’ is currently in progress in Mumbai. But when will the film be hitting the theaters? Vijay Deverakonda answers, “It will release in 2022, but we will announce the exact release date after some time.”
Grapevine has it that the makers are waiting to get US visas for the shooting. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the USA government is not allowing foreign film crews. The team ‘Liger’ is waiting for the visa clearances.
A major part of the film needs to be shot in America. Mike Tyson, who plays the role of boxing guru, will join the shooting schedule of the USA. Only after the USA schedule gets completed, the makers can announce the release date.
‘Liger’ is a sports drama that has Vijay Deverakonda playing a boxer. Ananya Panday is his leading lady. Puri Jaganandh and Karan Johar are bankrolling the film. Mounted on a lavish scale, the film also has Ramya Krishna and Ronit Roy as the main cast members.
