A teaser for #VD12, Vijay Deverakonda’s 12th film, revealed the much-awaited title. The film is titled “Kingdom.”
The teaser begins with NTR’s voice explaining that a land is rife with war, and the people have witnessed endless violence and bloodshed. The voice raises the question, “What is this mayhem?” The answer: the people are waiting for a new king to emerge from the battlefield. Then we see Vijay Deverakonda’s emergence on the scene.
Apparently, the film is set in Sri Lanka. Vijay Deverakonda plays a cop in this period drama. The visuals and the setting are massive.
Vijay Deverakonda seems to have finally found a script that is different from all his recent attempts. Gowtam Tinnanuri of “Jersey” fame is showcasing Vijay Deverakonda in a completely new avatar.
Anirudh Ravichander strikes again with an electrifying BGM, adding to the film’s intensity. Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya are mounting this film on an unprecedented scale under the banners of Sithara Entertainments, Fortune Four Cinemas, and in collaboration with Srikara Studios.
“Kingdom” will hit the theaters on May 30, 2025, in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi languages.
