Vijay Deverakonda’s Kingdom tops Netflix charts

Vijay Deverakonda’s Kingdom, which hit theaters on July 31st, opened to massive hype and strong day-one collections, sparking hopes of a blockbuster. However, the film’s theatrical run soon lost steam and ended up as a commercial disappointment.

Despite that, Vijay Deverakonda’s star power remains unquestionable. The film recently premiered on Netflix and has shot straight to the No.1 spot on the platform’s India charts, proving his enduring fan following.

Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, “Kingdom” received mixed reviews from critics and audiences alike.

Meanwhile, Vijay Deverakonda has moved on to his next project. He is currently working on a period drama set in the British era against the backdrop of Rayalaseema. Directed by Rahul Sankrityan of Shyam Singha Roy fame, the film stars Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead and is currently in production. This is the first time that Vijay Deverakonda will be mouthing dialogues in Rayalaseema slang.
