The hot favorite contestant VJ Sunny emerged as the winner of the reality show Bigg Boss Telugu 5. Host Nagarjuna announced the winner on Sunday night.
Season five had Maanas, Siri Hanmanth, Sreerama Chandra, Shanmukh Jaswanth, and Sunny as the finalists. Both Siri and Maanas got evicted early. While actor VJ Sunny emerged as the title winner, singer Sreemrama Chandra and YouTube star Shanmukh Jaswanth stood as runners-up.
VJ Sunny took the trophy along with the cash prize of Rs 50 lakhs.
The finale had some sizzling dance performances. Shriya did a dance show. Also, several celebrities graced the finale and interacted with the contestants. Bollywood stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and director Rajamouli entertained with their acts. Alia Bhatt even mouthed a Balakrishna dialogue “Dabidi Dabide”.
Actress Rashmika Mandanna who came to the show danced to the song “Saami Saami” from Pushpa. Devi Sri Prasad and Sukumar were also present.
Nani, Sai Pallavi, and Krithi Shetty also graced the finale. ‘Bigg Boss Telugu 5’ was hosted by Nagarjuna Akkineni. The fifth season began in September.
