Kannada superstar Yash, popular for the record-breaking hit KGF: Chapter 2, has recently begun filming for his upcoming Bollywood project, Ramayana. The epic film features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, while Sai Pallavi portrays Sita. Yash takes on the powerful role of Ravana.
The production is currently focused on shooting intense action sequences. Yash has started filming high-octane scenes choreographed by Hollywood’s veteran stunt director Guy Norris. The action choreographer is best known for his work in “Mad Max: Fury Road” and “The Suicide Squad.”
In newly released photos, Yash is seen sporting a thick beard and moustache, looking well-built and physically prepared for the demanding role. In addition to starring, Yash also serves as co-producer of the film, which is being backed by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari of Dangal fame, “Ramayana” will be released in two parts, with Part 1 scheduled to hit theaters during Diwali 2026.
