Actor Yash is gearing up for a crucial phase as his upcoming film “Toxic” prepares for release. Initially scheduled for March, the film has been postponed to June 4 to avoid a box office clash with “Dhurandhar 2,” which has now emerged as a massive blockbuster.
With just two months left, the focus is now on reviving the film’s promotional campaign.
Yash is also playing Ravana in the ambitious Ramayana, with the first glimpse set to be unveiled on April 2. Following this, he is expected to shift his full attention back to Toxic promotions.
The film had earlier generated strong buzz with its teaser, showcasing Yash in two distinct looks and roles. However, the first single featuring Kiara Advani failed to make an impact, and the initial promotional momentum has faded.
As a result, the team now needs to restart promotions aggressively to regain audience attention.
Yash faces two major targets with Toxic. Firstly, he needs to reaffirm his pull as a pan-India star and prove that the craze he built after KGF remains intact. Secondly, the film is expected to match or come close to the box office benchmarks set by Dhurandhar 2.
The Telugu theatrical rights of the film have been acquired by Dil Raju. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, “Toxic” features a strong ensemble cast including Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, and Tara Sutaria.
