For producer Dil Raju, director Shankar and Ram Charan’s film is a special film on many counts. For, it is 50th production as a producer. Plus, the first Pan-Indian film with the costliest ever production for his company. It also happens to be maverick filmmaker Shankar’s maiden Telugu film.
Furthermore, for the first time in his career, producer Dil Raju also sold his film to a corporate studio entirely. Zee Studios has closed a deal with Dil Raju for Shankar and Ram Charan’s untitled film (#RC15) for a whopping amount. The deal is said to be in the range of Rs 325 crore – Rs 350 crore.
The deal includes theatrical, satellite, and digital rights. It excludes music, overseas, and remake rights. So, Dil Raju is recovering the entire budget from this deal even before the second schedule closed. He will be in profits with overseas and other rights. Interestingly, Dil Raju can also involve in the theatrical business when it gets released. So, he can buy the movie as a distributor.
‘RC15’ is progressing at a rapid pace. Ram Charan plays a civil services officer in the film. Kiara Advani is the female lead. Sunil also plays a key role.
