Samantha’s “Maa Inti Bangaaram” has emerged as one of the biggest blockbusters of the year. The female-centric action family drama not only revived Samantha’s career after a three-year gap but also gave a much-needed boost to exhibitors by drawing large crowds to theatres.
Released on June 19, the film has enjoyed a remarkable theatrical run. Within just 23 days, it has become the highest-grossing Telugu film led by a female star.
On Saturday, Samantha’s team, which also produced the film, unveiled a new poster announcing that Maa Inti Bangaaram had crossed the Rs 100 crore gross mark worldwide as of July 11.
The makers also claimed that it is the first-ever female-led Telugu film to gross Rs 100 crore worldwide, marking a significant milestone for women-centric Telugu cinema. However, it is yet to be verified by Trade pundits about this Rs 100 Cr claim.
Directed by Nandini Reddy and written by Raj Nidimoru, “Maa Inti Bangaaram” has also turned out to be a profitable venture for Samantha, who backed the project under her Tralala Moving Pictures banner.
