Analysis
The concept of an innocent man charged with a crime/wrong man in the wrong place is an oft-repeated plot in many movies. New director Darshan’s ‘Ichata Vahanumulu Niluparadu’ starring Sushanth essentially follows the same pattern. Still, the concept has scope for turning into an interesting movie. But it begins on a shaky start.
Like in the film’s protagonist, who struggles to learn driving, the director’s inexperience is visible in the handling of the first half. The scenes are random and dry. The director and editor should have worked in tandem to cut the flab, especially in the first half.
Saving us the audience, the film comes to the point at the interval point and begins to turn serious.
Sushanth looks very convincing in his role. He looks handsome in some portions. Debutante Meenakshi Chaudhary looks beautiful. Former hero Venkat in a crucial role does his part well. Sunil creates a few laughs. Priyadarshi gets a meaty and meaningful role.
Among the technicians, cinematographer Sukumar shines. The new director’s writing and direction are weak.
Bottom line: ‘Ichata Vahanamulu Niluparadu’ rests on an interesting idea, but the inconsistent and dull narration ruins it all.
