Ante Sundaraniki underperforms on the first weekend

Nani’s ‘Ante Sundaraniki’ received a pretty average response from the audience in the Telugu states. The social drama laced with entertainment has collected just about Rs 10 crore at the domestic box office on its first weekend.

For a star like Nani, this is underperformance. The film needs to hold well during this weekday to reach the break-even stage.

However, the film has done impressive business in the USA. It has earned about $800k at the North American box office on the first weekend.

Directed by Vivek Athreya, the film received fairly decent reviews but the lengthy runtime and other factors have not helped it grow further.

On the other hand, ‘Vikram’ and ‘Major’ have added some decent numbers in their second weekend. They made big money and are declared hits.
