The final results of all Sankranthi 2025 movies are out. It has been 10 days since the release of “Game Changer”, and eight days for “Daaku Maharaaj” and a week for “Sankranthiki Vasthunam”. Here’s where all these films stand at the box office.
Sankranthiki Vasthunam – The Blockbuster
The Venkatesh starrer “Sankranthiki Vasthunam” trumped all other movies this festival period. While it was the last film to release during this period (Jan 14), it is becoming the highest-grossing movie this season. Be it in Telugu states or overseas, the film became the main choice for the Telugu audiences. As of now, it is a blockbuster, but trade pundits expect it to collect over Rs 200 Cr gross. The film grossed a massive $2.1 million (Rs 18 Cr gross) in its first week run in the USA, and it also performed massively in Australia and other overseas territories.
Overall, it has become the career-best blockbuster for Venkatesh as well as director Anil Ravipudi.
Daaku Maharaaj – Avg
The much-hyped “Daaku Maharaaj” turned out to be only an average grosser. As things are, it will not even make a profit in certain areas. In most regions, it barely broke even. Given all of the facts, the film can be considered average. Nandamuri Balakrishna and director Bobby collaborated on this film. While the stylish presentation and decent first half of the film garnered appreciation, the formulaic second half failed to deliver. As a result, despite a strong start, collections declined.
Game Changer – Heavy Loser
Ram Charan and director Shankar’s much-hyped film, Game Changer, flopped in all regions. It has become one of the biggest losing movies of all time, putting producer Dil Raju in irreparable losses. Shankar’s direction and Karthik Subbaraj’s outdated story are the main culprits for this failure.
