Ram Charan’s “Peddi” has wrapped up its first week on a strong note. Despite receiving mixed reviews and predictions from some quarters that it would struggle after the opening weekend, the film has continued to post impressive numbers, particularly in the Telugu states.
Interestingly, its overseas performance has also turned out to be much better than many expected. Apart from regular markets like North America, the film registered solid collections in the UK-Ireland region, Australia, and several other international markets.
As a result, the film’s first-week overseas gross has reached an impressive $4.85 million (approximately Rs 46 crore).
This marks one of the strongest overseas performances for a solo Ram Charan starrer. While the film grossed around $3.1 million in North America during its first week – a figure considered below expectations for such a high-profile release – it compensated with excellent numbers from other overseas territories.
Directed by Buchi Babu and produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru, “Peddi” features Ram Charan in the role of a sportsman and continues to maintain a steady run at the box office.
