Samantha’s “Maa Inti Bangaaram” enjoyed a terrific first weekend run worldwide. After posting such impressive numbers over the opening weekend, most films tend to witness a significant drop on Monday. Moreover, women-centric films generally find it difficult to sustain momentum beyond the weekend.
However, Samantha’s comeback movie has bucked that trend. In fact, it has comfortably passed the crucial Monday test in both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, registering strong occupancy and steady collections.
The film’s biggest contributions during the opening weekend came from Hyderabad and North America, and the trend continues to remain the same. These two territories are driving the film’s impressive box-office performance.
“Maa Inti Bangaaram” is now expected to cross the Rs 50 crore worldwide gross mark soon. In North America alone, the film has already grossed $1.15 million and has reportedly secured another $100K in advance sales for Tuesday, indicating that the strong run is likely to continue.
The film has already emerged as the highest-grossing movie of Samantha’s career as a lead actress, marking a significant milestone in her comeback journey.
