Naandhi posts superb numbers in its first weekend

Nearly after eight years, Allari Naresh has finally scored a hit. ‘Naandhi’ is posting good numbers at the box-office. Released on Friday, ‘Naandhi’ opened sluggishly but has picked up from late-night shows on that day. Tremendous growth over the next two days was seen. The film’s Sunday numbers are huge.

‘Naandhi’ is on its way to becoming a good hit, bringing Naresh’s career back on track. Strong word-of-mouth has helped the film getting good numbers on Saturday and Sunday. 

On the other hand, ‘Uppena’ continued to show its might at the box-office this weekend as well. In its second week, the film remained at the number one spot in many places.

Sumanth starrer ‘Kapatadhaari’ bombed at the box-office. It could not even fetch a respectable opening.

Vishal starrer ‘Chakra’ had registered superb openings on the first day. But the reviews and the word-of-mouth went against the movie, turning it into a dud. ‘Pogaru’, the Telugu version of a Kannada movie, opened well due to the presence of Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead. But the film has not sustained its momentum. Last weekend, ‘Naandhi’ was the clear winner.
