But for the past three weeks, the business has become dull. The collections in the theaters hit the nadir. The trade is now banking heavily on the Dasara period.
This Dasara, we will be witnessing three releases – Megastar Chiranjeevi’s ‘Godfather’, Nagarjuna’s ‘The Ghost’, and a small film ‘Swathimuthyam’.
‘Godfather’ is expected to take a solid opening on the first day. Nagarjuna’s ‘The Ghost’ is also carrying expectations. ‘Swathimuthyam’ depends on word-of-mouth.
The trade is hoping that these films will end the dry spell at the ticket windows.
