US: Alia Bhatt’s film eclipses Pawan Kalyan’s film

Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Bheemla Nayak’ and Alia Bhatt’s Hindi film ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ were released on the same day (Feb 25). Expectedly, Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Bheemla Nayak’ created a storm at the USA box office on the opening weekend. Alia Bhatt’s film was a slow starter.

However, tables have turned as the days went by. On the second weekend, ‘Gangubai’ is making all the noise at the North American box office.

On its second Friday, Sanjay Bhansali directed ‘Gangubai’ has collected 156k dollars, taking its cumulative gross to $1.76 million. On the other hand, Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Bheemla Nayak’ grossed just $34k yesterday, but the total gross has crossed $2.3 million.

‘Gangubai’ became the first choice for the audience in the second week.

Sharwanand’s ‘Aadavallu Meeku Joharlu’ also performed well on Friday compared to the Thursday premieres.
