Siddhu Jonnalagadda starrer “Jack” and Pradeep Machiraju’s “Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi” (AAIA) have flopped miserably. While the latter had little expectations, the former was a big-budget movie, and Siddhu is considered a star with a capacity for strong openings. But for production house SVCC, “Jack” turned out to be a heavy loss venture as far as theatrical business was concerned.
“Jack” didn’t even post respectable numbers in the long four-day weekend, becoming one of the biggest flops in recent times. With this, Siddhu Jonnalagadda’s star graph has come down considerably, and he will now be treated as he was before the release of the “Tillu” movies.
“Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi,” starring Pradeep Machiraju, failed to attract the audiences. The film shockingly witnessed empty theaters on the very first day, and it didn’t show any improvement in the three days. While “Jack” was released on Thursday, “Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi” was released on Friday. Both these Telugu films made huge losses.
GBU—Blockbuster in Tamil, flop in Telugu

“Good Bad Ugly,” which marked Mythri Movie Makers debut in the Tamil movie industry, is minting big money in Tamil Nadu. The film clicked with the Tamil audiences, especially with Ajith’s fans, and it will become one of the super hits of Ajith’s career. For Mythri Movie Makers, it is a successful debut in the Tamil film industry, though profits will not be much. However, the film flopped in Telugu. The Telugu audiences didn’t like the film.
Jaat—Disaster

Last weekend also saw the release of the Bollywood movie “Jaat,” which was the debut Hindi movie for Telugu director Gopichand Malineni as well as the first big Hindi production for Mythri Movie Makers. In the four days, the film collected Rs 40 crore in India, which is a lot lower. Sunny Deol’s previous blockbuster, “Gadar 2,” collected Rs 43 Cr on the first day, whereas “Jaat” raked in Rs 40 Cr in four days. The film is a huge loss venture for Mythri Movie Makers and a big flop for Gopichand Malineni.
