Director Buchi Babu has shared an update on the much-anticipated film Peddi, starring Ram Charan. Speaking to the media today, he revealed that over 60% of the shoot has been completed.
“We’ve wrapped up more than 60% of filming. The release date is currently set for March 27, 2026. However, since Srirama Navami falls a day earlier, we may consider arriving in theatres one day in advance,” he said.
Buchi Babu also confirmed that the first single from the film will be released in November.
“AR Rahman has composed a terrific number. We all loved it, and I’m sure the audience will as well. The first song should be out in 15 days or so,” he added.
“Peddi “is a sports drama set in the Uttarandhra region. Janhvi Kapoor plays the female lead alongside Ram Charan. The film also features an impressive ensemble cast including Kannada veteran Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, and Divyenndu.
Produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under Vriddhi Cinemas in association with Sukumar Writings and Mythri Movie Makers, Peddi is one of the most eagerly awaited biggies in the making.
