Telugu film producers have come up with a new rule for digital streaming. From April 1st, no film will be streamed online before 8 weeks of its theatrical release. Telugu Film Producers Council (TFPC) has imposed this new rule that will apply to all the streaming giants and it will also applicable to all movies – big or small.
From 1st April, this will come in force.
At present, all films are being streamed within four weeks of the movie’s theatrical release and this is hampering the collections of hit movies. Last year films like “Rangasthalam” and this year “F2” suffered heavily as the films were streamed even when they were running in theaters successfully.
