A two-parter is essential, and Part 3 is a new trend!

The Telugu cinema industry and the way films are made in Telugu have been irrevocably altered. Pan-India projects have become routine. Another popular trend is two-parters or franchises. Nowadays, every top star’s movie is divided into two parts.

Prabhas’ film “Salaar 2” is currently in production. The second section of “Kalki 2898 AD” has already been revealed. According to reports, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s “Spirit” will similarly be divided into two parts. The work is now underway. The only film that would be missing from this two-parter trend is Prabhas-Maurthi’s “The Raja Saab”.

NTR’s “Devara” has been divided into two parts, with the first scheduled for release in September. The second installment will open in theaters in 2026. Then, Prashanth Neel and NTR’s intended film “Dragon” will be made in two parts.

Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu’s upcoming global blockbuster #SSMB29 will likewise be made in two parts. Rajamouli intends to shoot both portions concurrently and release them over a year apart.

Pawan Kalyan’s “Hari Hara Veera Mallu” was already divided into two parts. Kalyan Ram’s “Bimbisara 2” was just revealed. Nandamuri Balakrishna’s film “Akhanda 2” will be launched later this year.

Part 3: Trend catches up

Part 3 is gradually catching up with the previous pattern. The second installment of “Pushpa” is in the works. The film is scheduled for release in December 2024. Meanwhile, work on the third portion is being planned. Sukumar will direct “Pushpa 3” after completing Ram Charan’s flick.

Films including “Karthikeya 3,” “KGF 3,” and “Hit 3” have already been confirmed.
