Director Lokesh Kanagaraj is all set to make his acting debut with “DC,” and the makers have officially announced August 7 as its theatrical release date.
Directed by Arun Matheswaran, the film stars Lokesh Kanagaraj alongside Wamiqa Gabbi. Anirudh Ravichander has composed the music for the action-packed entertainer. Backed by Sun Pictures, “DC” will be released in multiple languages, including Tamil and Telugu.
Asian Suresh Entertainment will distribute the film in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
With the announcement, “DC” is now headed for a direct box-office clash with Varun Tej’s Korean Kanakaraju, whose makers had recently locked the same August 7 release date.
It remains to be seen whether both films stick to their release plans or if one of them opts to avoid the competition. As of now, August 7 is shaping up to be an interesting weekend at the box office.
