Actor Ghattamaneni Ramesh Babu, who has acted in over 15 Telugu films passed away today. He was 56. The actor suffered from a liver ailment for a long. On Saturday, his condition deteriorated, and he was immediately taken to AIG hospital in Hyderabad, where he died.
Elder son of veteran actor Superstar Krishna, Ramesh Babu made his debut as a child actor. He debuted as a lead actor with the film, Samraat. His first successes as the hero were Jandhyala’s ‘Chinni Krishnudu’ and Kodanda Ramireddy’s ‘Bazaar Rowdy’.
He also played lead roles in ‘Krishna Gaari Abbayi’, ‘Ayudham’, ‘Kaliyuga Abhimanyudu’, etc.
In 2004, he turned producer and made ‘Arjun’ on the Krishna Productions Private Ltd banner. That film starred his younger brother Mahesh Babu. He also produced Mahesh Babu’s ‘Athidhi’, was a presenter to ‘Dookudu’, and ‘Aagadu’.
