Actress Janhvi Kapoor has strongly spoken out against the growing trend of paparazzi taking intrusive and sexualised visuals of female celebrities.
In a recent YouTube interview, she addressed multiple issues, including how photographers often zoom in on specific body parts while filming actresses. Calling out the practice, she revealed that she had directly confronted paparazzi about it.
Janhvi said she clearly told them that such actions are “disrespectful and harmful,” stressing that a woman’s choice of outfit should never be seen as consent for capturing close-up or suggestive shots.
She further pointed out that chasing views and money by focusing on a woman’s body amounts to objectification without consent. The actress emphasized the need for setting better boundaries and fostering mutual respect between celebrities and media.
On the work front, Janhvi Kapoor is currently awaiting the release of “Peddi,” where she stars alongside Ram Charan.
