Adivi Sesh has been away from the spotlight for quite some time as he hasn’t released any new films recently. His last outing as a lead actor was in the 2022 blockbuster “Major.” He made a cameo appearance this year in Nani’s “Hit 3.” He announced a couple of action-packed projects, but they have been facing repeated delays.
Earlier this year, Sesh even promised to release three films in quick succession, but yet another setback has derailed his plans.
Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur are coming together for an action love story titled “Dacoit.” The film is being directed by cinematographer Shaniel Deo and produced by Supriya Yarlagadda. However, the shoot was disrupted due to Sesh’s recent on-set injury, leading to further delay. Buzz is that the makers have now decided to postpone the film’s release to 2026.
Although Sesh initially aimed to release “Dacoit “during Christmas 2025, it has now been pushed to the following year. The project had already seen its share of issues earlier when Shruti Haasan walked out, forcing the team to pause production for months before replacing her with Mrunal Thakur. Now, Sesh’s injury has added to the list of setbacks.
Sesh is also working on “G2,” which was originally planned for release in May 2026. But with the current situation, even that might get pushed to a later date.
