
Actor Sudeep at an event said that Hindi is not a national language anymore. Though Bollywood films are being dubbed in Telugu and Tamil, it is a known fact that B-town films are struggling. On the other hand, south language films are doing well.
Ajay Devgn took to Twitter and responded to this. He wrote, “According to you if Hindi is not our national language then why do you release your mother tongue movies by dubbing them in Hindi?
Hindi was, is and always will be our mother tongue and national language. Jan Gan Man.”
Sudeep has explained that he loves and respects every language in the country. Moreover the context in which he said this was different.
He further elaborated that when he meets Ajay Devgn in person he would explain. There was no intention of hurting him or even starting a debate.
Without stopping at that Sudeep wrote that he understood what Ajay Devgn wrote as he loved and had learned Hindi.
Finally, he questioned whether the reaction would be the same if his response was in Kannada. “Don’t we too belong to India sir,” he asked.
