Akhil Akkineni is set to make a fresh start in 2026. After taking a two-year break, the actor is returning with a new film titled “Lenin,” which he hopes will mark a turning point in his career and put him back on the right track.
Marking the arrival of New Year 2026, the makers unveiled a new poster featuring Akhil in a rural youth avatar, set against a festive backdrop. The film’s story is rooted in the Chittoor region, lending it a strong rural flavour.
The promotional campaign will kick off with the release of the first single, composed by Thaman, scheduled to drop on January 5, 2026.
Directed by Kishore Abbur, “Lenin” is an action love story set in a rural milieu. Bhagyashri Borse plays the female lead opposite Akhil. The film is jointly produced by Naga Vamsi and Nagarjuna Akkineni under the banners of Manam Enterprises and Sithara Entertainments, and is slated for a summer 2026 release.
