The acclaimed Telugu film “Manam” starring Nagarjuna, Naga Chaitanya and late ANR, is all set for a theatrical re-release in Japan on August 8, 2025, more than a decade after its original release in India. Directed by Vikram Kumar, the film first hit theaters on May 23, 2014, and has since become a favorite among Telugu audiences.
In a special gesture to his Japanese fans, Akkineni Nagarjuna will virtually attend one of the Japan screenings and interact with the audience. Nagarjuna continues to enjoy immense popularity in the region.
“Manam” is notable for bringing together three generations of the Akkineni family on screen. Late Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Akkineni Nagarjuna, Naga Chaitanya, and Akhil Akkineni have played roles in this film, making it a landmark film in Telugu cinema and a special one for Akkineni family.
The film’s re-release is expected to be a nostalgic celebration for fans, particularly those in Japan who rarely get to experience Telugu cinema on the big screen.
